All SaferWatch web service calls must include a ServiceKey and CustomerKey. The ServiceKey is used to identify you as the service caller and the CustomerKey is used to determine which SaferWatch account you are making the web service call for.
(Tells us who is making the web service call)
Contact SaferWatch at 844-878-9700 to obtain a Web Service Key. This key authorizes you to call SaferWatch web services and is required on all service requests. Please keep this Service Key private as it is only to be used by your company.
(Tells us which SaferWatch account are you making the request for)
SaferWatch will provide you a test account with an associated CustomerKey that can be used for the development and testing of your web service integration.
If you are making requests of SaferWatch on behalf of many customers, you will need to establish a procedure for customers to obtain a SaferWatch customer key and activate in your product. One approach would be to have the customer contact SaferWatch support to obtain their customer key and provide a place in your application where they can enter it. You will need to store the SaferWatch customer key in your product and use it when making requests on behalf of the customer.
